Spin Servers can announce your customer-owned IPv4 prefix on our ASN, allowing you to use your own IP addresses with servers hosted on our network. We support IPv4 prefixes of /24 or larger, and there is no additional charge for this service.
This option can help VPS providers, web-hosting companies, and other resellers reduce their IP address costs by leasing or purchasing address space directly from an IP provider.
Requesting a Prefix Announcement
All customer-owned prefix announcements must be requested through a support ticket. Prefixes can no longer be submitted directly through the Client Area.
Open a support ticket and provide:
- The IPv4 prefix you would like Spin Servers to announce
- A valid Letter of Authorization (LOA) authorizing Spin Servers to announce the prefix
- The server, service, or VPC where the prefix will be used
Attach the LOA directly to your support ticket. Our team will review the documentation and may contact you if any additional information is required.
After the request is approved, Spin Servers will configure the announcement and assign the prefix to the appropriate VPC or service. We will notify you through the ticket once the configuration is complete.
Using Your Prefix
Once your prefix has been announced and assigned, its IP addresses can be used by the applicable servers within that VPC.
Your VPC provides private Layer 2 connectivity for the prefix and helps prevent other servers on the Spin Servers network from attempting to use or spoof your IP addresses.
If you need to divide the prefix across multiple VPCs or services, include the requested subnet allocations and destination details in your support ticket. Our team will review the configuration and assist with the appropriate assignments.
